Dunton Parish Church
The Christmas Fair held on Sunday 11th Dec was a huge success. Many helpers came to run the variety of stall and the church buzzed with people coming to enjoy browsing and buying.
Thank you to everyone who supported and helped make the day a success. Over £1200 was raised for church funds.
Our thanks to Barbara and David Mowbray who coordinated and planned the day.
On Sunday 3rd July we held our Summer Fair in the church and ground. The weather was lovely - warm and sunny - the stalls were set up, volunteers were ready and from 11.30 we were prepared for visitors. It was great to see them come and have fun as they joined in the games and challenges, testing their skills and browsing around the many other stalls. A big hit was the BBQ burgers and hot dogs. Matt and Adam worked constantly all day. Just 2 of the many hard working and dedicated stall holders, organisers and helpers on the day.
As well as fun and friendship, the financial result was that just over £1000 was raised to support the mission and ministry of Dunton Parish Church - at the heart of our village community. Our thanks to all who organised, helped and came along to enjoy the day and support us.

Queen's Birthday Celebrations
On June 12th at the 8am service special readings, & prayers were included to help us celebrate Her Majesty The Queen's 90th birthday. The service was followed by a royal breakfast in church and a photograph of some of the congregation with Her Majesty herself!
The Ministry Team have created a Prayer Corner in church for people to come and sit quietly during the day.
Please come and discover this sacred space and use it if you wish to pray and be still.
It's situated in the north corner of the nave to the left of the pulpit.
'A Bit of What you Fancy'
On Sunday afternoon 22nd May 2016 we shared a delightful afternoon in church listening to songs (Cinematic Favourites) presented by the Garden City Singers followed by sharing an exceedingly good afternoon tea in the church grounds in beautiful sunshine. Many thanks to the singers of Garden City Singers and to their conductor Natalie Carter. Also many thanks to DPC Friends for organising this special event. Money raised went to support Beating Bowel Cancer and the church.
A total of £538 was raised.
Gorgeous weather, super songs and delicious afternoon tea.
